Meeting Cluj-Napoca, Romania

31st May - 5th June




The final meeting was hosted by our partner school in Cluj-Napoca, capital city of Transilvania, in Northern Romania.

2 students from Italy and 3 students from Slovenia had the chance to live the final celebrations of the two years long Comenius experience with their Romanian partners. They were involved in exciting role plays and workshops about clash culture and performed on stage during the final dinner and show.

Teachers presented the common products and implemented the final report.

Traditional songs and dancing closed the meeting. Children and teachers waved good bye in a moving atmosphere.

Meeting Sliema, Malta

18th - 24th May


The seventh Comenius meeting took place at St. Joseph School-Sliema, a Catholic school for female children from 3 to 11. The children welcomed the delegations singing and dancing traditional songs. They also took part into a fantastic evening of songs and drama dedicated to the partner countries.

The delegations worked at the draft of the final report and revised the common products still in progress, namely:

- The E-Book illustrating the main aspects and products of the project

- The Comic Strips Album + Resource book (a collection of comic strips stories + lesson plan and blank version for didactic activities)

- The Travelling Characters PPT (an illustrated journal presenting the travelling experiences of the soft toys created by each school)


Two final products were presented and are now available for didactic activities :



- The Didactical game, presented by Scoala S. Barnutiu, Cluj-Napoca

- The CD of traditional songs, presented by Vrtec, Idrija

Meeting Lisbon, Portugal

During the meeting, partner defined final products:
  • An E-Album dedicated to the Travelling Characters and their training courses about behaviour. Walter Wallands (from Walland's School, Sussex, UK) came home with us and he is now attending a course about "playground rules". Our Pierino Pozzolo flew to Malta to learn "table manners". Maltese Pippa Tikka is at Walland's.
  • A Collection of Aliens' adventures edited and printed by Italy with stories from Ireland, Slovenia OS, Romania, Malta.




    • A DVD of traditional songs with tre songs from each country

    • A joint E-Book presenting the main aspects of the project (Starting situation, objectives, activities, products, outcomes) matched with a collection of DVDs including all the products realized in the two years of common work











    Meeting Lisbon, Portugal - 15th to 20th February

    Externato Sta Caterina, Cruz Quebrada, Lisbon hosted the sixth project meeting.


    The children welcomed the delegations in their colourful costumes made of recycled materials. They also sang and danced in a beautiful show about Lisbon.
    The school was decorated with posters and artworks dedicated to the partner countries.
    The Italian corner was smashing.

    Second year activities

    Secondary school

    Beware of the Aliens... they are watching us!



    Students of Year 1 at Secondary school (age 11 - 12) are creating comic strips with Alien characters.
    A naif outsider's eye witnesses the "strange" behaviour of human beings and helps childrens become aware of suitable or improper behaviour.

    Students of different countries in the project are working in small group to create class albums of "Alien stories".

    The final product will be a joint collection of comic strips with episodes from Ireland, Italy, UK and Slovenia.
